The early evening severe thunderstorm produced hail with sizes ranging from pea to golf ball with some opaque white stones about the size of mothballs appearing nearly perfectly round. Many of the larger hailstones I collected showed layers of clear and cloudy ice with a white opaque nucleus. Most of the rainfall occurred with this late afternoon storm (0.82” in).
