| 2026-01-26 | 7:00 AM | 1.17 | NA | NA | 0.9 | NA | | Still no power, total ice accumulation around a half inch. Trees and branches down everywhere, and a tree snapped and clipped our roof. Full timeline: Saturday at 7 am is when very small and dry flurries began. At 8 am, a consistent snow began and began to accumulate. Total snow accumulation was about 1.4 inches. Later in the day, ice pellets and sleet was the main precipitation. Evening was scattered sleet and ice pellets, and then later around 9pm is when a freezing drizzle became apparent, but was very scattered. I woke up the next morning (Sunday the 25) at 530, and looked outside. The trees were heavily weighed down with ice, and there was just one single branch that had fallen. AFTER 530 AM is WHEN THE TREES BEGAN TO GET DAMAGED. You would listen outside and just hear crack after crack, and smashing everywhere. This continued until about 9 AM, and at this point we had seen at least two transformers being blown, and large branches littered our yard. At about 9 AM, our power went out, but not as many trees or branches were falling. They still were, but 6am to 9am was the most damaging timeframe. Later around noon a tree on our tree line snapped in half and hit our roof. Everything was fine aside from some minor roof damage. After the precipitation ended, there was one decent wind gust that took down trees and branches, probably around 20 mph. That was about it for the day. Total ice accumulation was about a half inch. We are currently still without power, and side roads remain icy and slick. Trees and branches down everywhere, very damaging storm. |

Magnolia trees getting beaten up, and i have recorded about a half inch of ice accumulated. This is the most damage i have seen since hurricane sandy when we lived in new Jersey. Very bad conditions with more on the way |
