Tree limbs and sometimes full trees were coming down in all directions, all day, continuously. In the first half of the day, I heard them literally every 5 to 15 seconds, for hours. It is 31.6 deg. but there is .33" of liquid water in the Stratus, There is some remnant snow in the funnel and it is coated in ice, everything is glazed with 3/8" of ice. The ice has the Stratus glued to the mounting bracket, so when I try to break it loose it feels like the bracket will break so, I can't do a liquid equivalent measurement. Side note: We live in a rural area, I hear stuff periodically crashing outside, probably tree branches. Freezing rain coming down currently. |
