There was 4 inches of snow and sleet in the canister. When it melted, the liquid was 0.52 inches measured using the inner 1 inch cylinder. It was measured at noon when the snow and sleet slacked off where I could get to the gage. The snow began at 3 AM as I looked out when up for the bathroom and there was just a very light dusting at that time.

At 7:15 there was a 2 minute sprinkle. Rain drops on our concrete patio which was dry by 8 AM. No drips from the roof. We do not have gutters so we know if there has been enough moisture to drip or run off. No rain prior to 7:15 or after. Concrete was dry when we got up at 5:30 AM this morning.
