Put out new white board at time of measurement yesterday nearby original to record 8.6” new inches from 8:00 a.m. until about 8:00 p.m. last night. 0.97” liquid in fresh core sample. Currently 27.5” deep on original white board. Took 2 samples from it to get current snowpack average of 2.59”. 8.6” + 22.4” = 31” total new snow with estimated 2.64” total liquid equivalent.

Cleared what was left on the white board yesterday and surrounding snow to avoid to avoid improper readings with drifting and such. Took 3 samples for snow depth and averaged down melted amount for water equvalent as rain gauge was overflowing. As by the book as i could do it given the situation. Observation location is not obstructed by wind and 22.4” reading was average of 5 measurements.
