| 2025-05-06 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 39 degrees and mostly clear. Maybe a little fog. Yesterday's high was 77.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 38.3 degrees. |
| 2025-05-05 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 37.2 degrees and clear. We're under a frost warning, but I didn't see any. Yesterday's high was a breezy (19 mph gusts) 67.3 degrees that wasn't reached until 6pm, when it took a serious dive and dropped 20 degrees by 10 pm, then hitting the overnight low of 34 degrees just before dawn. |
| 2025-05-04 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.8 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was 66.7 degrees, and the overnight low was 34.3 degrees. There was a tiny bit of water left in the tube, and while I'm almost sure it was left over from yesterday's rain, and I just didn't shake it out of the tube well enough, I do remember feeling one or two drops hit me as I did my collection, so it could be a legit trace. Plus it clouded up in the afternoon, and rain actually looked likely around 5pm, so we might have had a shower overnight, as well. |
| 2025-05-03 | 7:00 AM | 0.10 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 48 degrees and overcast. Actually got the forecasted rain, showers off and on between about 1:30 am and stopped right about 7am. I'm happy about that. Don't have to water anything for at least a few days. Yesterday's high was 78.6 degrees, reached by about 2pm, but when I took my bike ride home at 5pm, it had already dropped to mid-60s, with a stiff breeze gusting up to 19 mph as the front moved in. Felt a bit cold, had me considering a stop to put on my sweatshirt. The overnight low was 46.6 degrees. |
| 2025-05-02 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.5 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was 85.1degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 40.5 degrees. |
| 2025-05-01 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.6 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was 71.1 degrees, and the overnight low was 35.6 degrees. |
| 2025-04-30 | 7:00 AM | 0.01 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 35.8 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was 72.9 degrees, and the overnight low was 35.8 degrees. The rain was done by 9am for sure, probably even closer to 8am. Looked like it had rained heavier at my work, about 5.5 miles away, as there were even puddles that lasted a few hours longer. Everything had dried out by the time I went home at 5pm. |
| 2025-04-29 | 6:47 AM | 0.01 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 49.1 degrees and raining very lightly, just started at about 6:15. Not sure it will amount to much, looking at the way the band of rain is moving on the radar, but at least it's something. Looks heavier farther north. Yesterday's high was 73 degrees, with son in the afternoon, and the overnight low was 47.8 degrees. |
| 2025-04-28 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 48.4 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 68 degrees, and the overnight low was degrees 46.8. The sun did come out in the afternoon, but the breeze kept things feeling chilly. |
| 2025-04-27 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 46.9 degrees and mostly overcast. Yesterday's high was 69.6 degrees, and the overnight low was 46.8 degrees. The sun came out around 1pm, chased about with clouds. But no rain. Going to have to start watering the raised beds. So early. |
| 2025-04-26 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 50 degrees and overcast, thinning. The morning's rain never amounted to more than a tiny trace in the gauge, though my windshield was quite wet when I left for work at 8. Yesterday's high was a cloudy 60.4 degrees, and the overnight low was degrees 49.5 degrees. |
| 2025-04-25 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 49.1 degrees and raining lightly. Some drops in the funnel, but the tube is still quite dry, not even a dribble down the side. Went ahead and marked it as a trace, though, since I had stepped outside a little earlier, too, and saw raindrops on shed roofs, etc. The weather app's radar shows a long band of green passing overhead, but with the lack of a catch, it makes me realize just how misleading that can be. Apparently heavy rainclouds can look like "rain" even when they're hardly dropping any. LOL Yesterday's high was 77.7 degrees, and the overnight low was 48.9 degrees. |
| 2025-04-24 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 43.5 degrees and mostly clear. Yesterday's high was a sunny 73.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 37 degrees. High tree pollen is still causing misery. |
| 2025-04-23 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 33.1 degrees and mostly clear. Yesterday's high was 65.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 32.5 degrees. Cold enough, certainly, but I didn't see any frost. Breezes of up to 16 mph in the afternoon kept the air feeling cool. |
| 2025-04-22 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 35.1 degrees and mostly clear. There's a frost warning in effect, but I see no sign of it, here. Yesterday's high was a mostly cloudy and cool 64.8 degrees, and the overnight low was 34.7 degrees. The breezy afternoons continue, with gusts up to 14 mph. As I started my ride at 8am yesterday I was hit with what may have been a rain shower, or perhaps just a patch of misting fog, but it was very isolated - just a block away from the house - and did not leave anything in the gauge, if it even hit my station. |
| 2025-04-21 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 43.3 degrees and mostly cloudy. Yesterday's high was 67.1 degrees, and the overnight low was 37.9 degrees. Had clouds that looked likely for rain periodically through the day, but nothing fell, and the tube remains completely dry. Was a good day to get more yard work done. |
| 2025-04-20 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 34.9 degrees and mostly clear. Yesterday's high was 71.2 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 34.9 degrees. The rain we were supposed to get yesterday morning was almost a non-event, and didn't even register in the gauge. But while I did feel a few raindrops hit me as I was checking the gauge yesterday, the gauge remained completely dry. As did the pavements. If I hadn't felt the drops or seen them on the shed roof, I'd have missed that there was anything at all. |
| 2025-04-19 | 6:47 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 45.3 degrees and overcast. A few drops of rain, but the tube was still dry when I checked the gauge. Don't think the forecasted rain will add up to much. Yesterday's high was a sunny 79.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 40.3. |
| 2025-04-18 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 34.7 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was 72.9 degrees, and the overnight low was 34.3. I saw frost on the neighbor's roof, but didn't see any on the ground. |
| 2025-04-17 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 36.3 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was 73 degrees, and the overnight low was 33.8 degrees. Continues to be breezy in the afternoons, with gusts up to 15mph. |
| 2025-04-16 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 42.1 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was a sunny 78.6 degrees, and the overnight low was 41.4 degrees. A bit breezy, with gusts up to 14 mph in the afternoon, and an average windspeed of 2.8 mph. |
| 2025-04-15 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.1 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was a sunny 79.3 degrees, and the overnight low was 39 degrees. Was finally able to ride my bicycle to work. Sucked it up for a cold ride in, and very much enjoyed the pleasant ride home. Plan to do the same today. |
| 2025-04-14 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 35.6 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was a sunny and breezy 69.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 33.8 degrees. |
| 2025-04-13 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 32.2 degrees and mostly clear. Yesterday's high was 62.8 degrees, and the overnight low was 31.8. There's a frost warning and while it's certainly cold enough, I didn't see any accumulation of frost here. |
| 2025-04-12 | 7:00 AM | 0.02 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 43.1 degrees and clearing. Yesterday's high was 63.3 degrees and just gray, with a few sun breaks but mostly clouds. The overnight low was 42.3. The bulk of the catch fell around 8 am yesterday, just heavy enough to foil my plans to ride to work. Must have had a shower this morning, as the pavements are wet even now, though the digital gauge hasn't recorded anything. I'm very ready for bicycle weather! |
| 2025-04-11 | 7:00 AM | 0.10 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 46.4 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 76.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 43.7 degrees. Breeze picked up by noon, gusting up to 14mph with bigger gusts up to 17 mph right as the forecasted rain started just before 5pm. At least half the catch fell before 6pm, and another shower between 9-10pm, then nothing after that. |
| 2025-04-10 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 44.8 degrees and cloudy - some blue sky breaks and low-lying clouds or fog wreathing the nearby hills. Yesterday's high was a lovely 71.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 43.9 degrees. There was a trace in the tube, but I'm as confident as I can be that it's just from dew or leftover from yesterday. |
| 2025-04-09 | 7:00 AM | 0.31 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 49.1 degrees and overcast. The patio is wet enough to make it look like it's rained recently; digital gauge's last tick came around 6am. Yesterday's high was 61.2 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 49.1. Had a few light scattered showers during the day, but the bulk of the catch came after 6pm, heaviest after dark. |
| 2025-04-08 | 7:00 AM | 0.03 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 46.9 degrees and mostly overcast. Yesterday's high was 63 degrees, and the overnight low was 44.6 degrees. |
| 2025-04-07 | 7:00 AM | 0.65 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 48 degrees and overcast, foggy. Yesterday's high was a soggy 59.2 degrees, with low breezes of a max 8 mph. We're at the overnight low of 48. Had a good, heavy shower around 3-4am, that may have accounted for about 1/4 of the catch, while the rest came down throughout the day in nearly non-stop light rain, with only a couple of breaks. Dreary day, good for an excuse to watch a lot of TV. LOL |
| 2025-04-06 | 7:00 AM | 0.02 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 49.8 degrees and mostly cloudy, raining at the moment. Rain started at about 6:30 am, after a beautiful day yesterday. Yesterday's high was a sunny 80.8 degrees, and the overnight low was 48.9 degrees. Light breezes, nothing over 6 mph. A taste of summer, to be sure. |
| 2025-04-05 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.1 degrees and mostly clear. Yesterday's high was a sunny 70 degrees, and the overnight low was 38.5. A little breezy, with gusts up to 15mph, and an average wind speed of 2.4mph. Can't complain-- except about the pollen. LOL |
| 2025-04-04 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 31.8 degrees and clear. The trace in the tube may just be leftover from yesterday, but we did have clouds in the morning that may have seen a shower pass over so I can't be certain. Yesterday's high was 62.6 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 31.7 degrees. Wind was light, with an average of 2.4 mph, and gusts up to 12 mph. |
| 2025-04-03 | 7:00 AM | 0.14 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 37.8 degrees and an even mix of clear and clouds. Yesterday's high was 60.1 degrees, and the overnight low was 34.9 degrees. A bit breezy in the afternoon, with gusts up to 16 mph. Most of the day had scattered light showers, but there was a significant shower at about 8-9pm that generated most of the catch. Nothing since midnight. |
| 2025-04-02 | 7:00 AM | 0.16 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.6 degrees and mostly cloudy. Yesterday's high was 59.2 degrees, and the overnight low was 37.9 degrees. Erratic weather continues; clouds and showers followed by sun breaks. A little breezy with gusts up to 14 mph. |
| 2025-04-01 | 7:00 AM | 0.50 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 37.9 degrees and raining lightly but steadily. Yesterday's high was a breezy 54.9 degrees, with wind gusts up to 18mph. We're at the overnight low of 37.9 degrees. Most of the catch is from after midnight, but there were a few short and scattered showers throughout the day. |
| 2025-03-31 | 7:00 AM | 0.61 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.1 degrees and mostly cloudy. Was raining fairly heavily not long ago, but it's clear directly above at the time of the reading. Yesterday's high was 54.3 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 40.1 degrees. Had a bit of breeze throughout the evening, with gusts up to 16 mph, along with a little thunder, and again as dawn approaches, with gusts up to 11 mph. This catch puts the month at 7.82". That seems like a lot. LOL |
| 2025-03-30 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 37.6 degrees and mostly cloudy. Yesterday's high was 63.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 37.2 degrees. Winds much calmer, with gusts only up to 11 mph. Not sure where the trace came from, as I didn't witness any showers, but it could have come overnight, or while we were out yesterday. There were enough clouds to cast doubt as to whether it was just leftovers or fog - the funnel was not showing signs of a wet fog or dew, and it was enough to make me doubt it was just leftovers I didn't shake out well enough, so I'm going with a trace. |
| 2025-03-29 | 7:00 AM | 0.06 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 36.7 degrees and mostly clear. Yesterday's high was a breezy 57.6 degrees, with wind gusts up to 20mph, and scattered showers with nice sun breaks in between. We're at the overnight low of 36.7 degrees, and it's shaping up to be a lovely day. |
| 2025-03-28 | 7:00 AM | 0.37 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 46.4 degrees and mostly cloudy. A least half of the catch came from showers after midnight, with yesterday's rainfall being very sporadic. Yesterday's high was 63.7 degrees, and very blustery, and the overnight low was 46.2. We had gusts up to 33mph, enough that a dozen shingles or more blew off our neighbor's roof and landed in our back yard. Lots of signs around town that "widowmakers" were being shaken out of trees, I'd guess many to be branches broken during the January 2024 ice storm that hadn't yet fallen. The wind hovered around 15-20 mph from about 1pm to 6pm, peaking at 4pm with the highest gusts up to that 33mph blast. Again, I didn't see any hail, though I wasn't at my station all day. |
| 2025-03-27 | 7:00 AM | 0.19 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 43.9 degrees and mostly cloudy. Yesterday's high was a whopping 87.3 degrees, and the overnight low was 43.7 degrees. It was beautifully sunny so late into the afternoon that I thought maybe we weren't in for any of the forecasted wild weather, and indeed, this station saw nothing more than wind gusts up to 22 mph, with an average of 2.7 mph. The clouds began rolling in at about 2pm, with the first sprinkles of rain at about 3:30, and the first shower at around 5pm. Didn't start raining in earnest until after dark. I may have heard some thunder, but didn't see any lightning, and didn't see any hail, much less softball-sized stones. Which is fine by me. |
| 2025-03-26 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 49.5 degrees and mostly clear. Yesterday's high was 76.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 48.7 degrees. Apparently we're expecting some wild weather today, including thunderstorm, big hail, and even potential for twisters. I've got the day off, and plan to walk early while it's still nice, so I'll be home when the weather is supposed to turn, so I can do a significant wx report if warranted. Might even try my hand at a hail board, but no guarantee I'll get it right. LOL |
| 2025-03-25 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 42.4 degrees and mostly clear. Apparently there's dense foy nearby, but it looks perfectly clear at this station. Yesterday's high was 80.8 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 42.4. Supposed to be quite warm again today. |
| 2025-03-24 | 7:00 AM | 0.01 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 46.6 degrees and mostly clear, just a few sparse clouds out on the horizons. Maybe a little haze or fog, making the crescent moon look a little blurry. Yesterday's high was 66.6 degrees, and the overnight low was 46.4 degrees. Got out for a bicycle ride yesterday, it was quite pleasent. |
| 2025-03-23 | 7:00 AM | 0.06 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 47.1 degrees and mostly cloudy. Can see some patches of blue sky. Yesterday's high was 53.6 degrees, and the overnight low was 46.6 degrees. Most of the catch was from scattered showers yesterday, with only one shower around 3am so far today. |
| 2025-03-22 | 7:00 AM | 0.41 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 43.7 degrees and overcast. Most of the catch is from yesterday, maybe a quarter of it since midnight. Yesterday's high was 51.1 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 43.7 degrees. A bit breezy, with average windspeed of 2-4.5 mph, and gusts up to 13-16 mph, primarily out of the South / Southeast. |
| 2025-03-21 | 7:00 AM | 0.09 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 47.5 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 52.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 46. Showers were mostly brief and not heavy, scattered throughout the day and some little in a shower around 6am. The day was more of what I'd call a typical mild spring day. And now it is spring! |
| 2025-03-20 | 7:00 AM | 0.19 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 42.6 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 52 degrees, and the overnight low was 40.8 degrees. Rain started about 6pm after a dry, if cool, day. According to the digital gauge, the catch is all from before midnight. (This last week has really pointed up the failings of my digital gauge - or at least my calibration of it. It shows only just yesterday surpassing 5" for the month, while the total readings from my official gauge is closer to 6" last I counted up, which was Monday, I think. But I do like to see and report what time of day the showers occur, since I'm not on site all day to see in person.) |
| 2025-03-19 | 7:00 AM | 0.04 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 38.3 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 55.9 degrees, and the overnight low was 37.4 degrees. Most of the catch came from a series of showers in the afternoon, accompanied by a bit of breeze, gusting up to 14 mph, otherwise it was a calm day. Uneventful night. It doesn't seem relevant to report on any floodwater receding (or not) which isn't in my immediate surrounds, and my station is back to a "normal" damp condition. |
| 2025-03-18 | 7:00 AM | 0.04 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 39.2 degrees and mostly cloudy, with some breaks through to clear sky. Yesterday's high was 59.2 degrees, and it was much drier and more pleasant than I expected. Even did some running about in shirt sleeves. The overnight low was 37.2 degrees. The catch was so very close to the .05 mark, but the bottom of the bubble was just short of it, so I marked it as.04. The house gutters are still running from the most recent shower. Today is supposed to be similar to yesterday, which is good to dry out the areas that are still soaked and/or submerged. In this station's immediate area, things have drown down nicely, having never threatened. In nearby towns the water is subsiding, too, by social media reports, as well as a first hand visit by my husband, who had to drive through Drain for work, that the water there was receding. |
| 2025-03-17 | 7:00 AM | 1.03 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 35.4 degress and mostly overcast, with some heavy-ish fog, though I can see sky directly above. Yesterday's high was a soggy 48.9 degrees, and the overnight low was 34.3 degrees. It rained pretty much nonstop until about 6pm. There was a slight break around noon, which we used to put some wet patch on the roof around the leaking skylight, but until evening it was wet and miserable. We had a break until the wee hours, then a pretty heavy shower from midnight until 2am, which the digital gauge recorded as .7", peaking at a rate of .05 right at the end. We did get out of the house briefly just before noon, and saw that the river near us was high, but still not threatening the banks on our side. Lots of street flooding in the immediate neighborhood, with storm drains being completely overwhelmed by running water, and pooling that in places covered half the street. The flooding of fields in the orchard behind us continues to be a great muddy mess. However, we're in good shape compared to areas farther south and west of us. I saw pix of flooded streets in Drain, where they were at level 2 evacuation, and southwest Eugene, where people were paddling pool floaties in the street. A co-worker reported of Creswell's river well above its banks, with alleys and yards flooding, and another's report that his father's house was flooded, in Goshen. Quite a day! |
| 2025-03-16 | 7:00 AM | 1.98 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 43 degrees and overcast, raining steadily. Yesterday's high was a soggy 48 degrees, which we actually hit at midnight. We're at the overnight low of 43. It has been raining pretty much nonstop since yesterday's reading, at a rate of nearly .1-.2/hr since . My digital gauge has recorded an inch just since midnight. Had wind gusts up to 19 mph yesterday evening, and an average of 12mph from about 9pm to 4am. Our "Sun Tunnel" skylight in our bathroom started leaking overnight. Haven't gone out to look at the river yet, but there's standing water in the yard in unusual places, and the gutters in the street are full and flowing. |
| 2025-03-15 | 7:00 AM | 0.68 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 41.4 degrees and overcast. Not raining at the moment, but it was, recently. Yesterday's high was 53.2 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 41.4 degrees. We has some cloud breaks in the afternoon, but the day was mostly cloudy, and we had more wind most of the afternoon, with gusts again up to 19 mph, not tapering off to the single digits until after 10pm. After midnight we had several gusts up to 12 mph. Loose items in the yard got blown around a bit, but as of now, no damage that I can see. |
| 2025-03-14 | 7:00 AM | 0.32 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 36.1 degrees and raining lightly. Yesterday's high was 46.6 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 36.1. Had some gusting winds about a half hour ago, up to 19 mph, along with a spike of rain. Forecast warns of a "wintery mix" but I don't see a chance of anything sticking. Most of the catch is from yesterday, falling off by 8pm. When I was leaving work at 4:30, it was hailing lightly, balls smaller than a grain of rice, and soft. It didn't last long, and I don't know if it did the same at this station, which is 5.5 miles from my work. There was no sign of it by the time I got home. I guess March's lion has shown up at last. |
| 2025-03-13 | 7:00 AM | 1.33 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 35.1 degrees and raining steadily. There's even some fat snowflakes in the mix, but they are not even remotely accumulating. The rain started almost immediately after yesterday's reading, and hasn't let up since, near as I can tell. Yesterday's high was a soggy 48.4 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 35.1 degrees. The rate of rainfall, according to the digital gauge, has been at minimum .05/hr for the full 24 hours, with just a couple spikes of heavier showers, up to .2/hr. A bit breezy, with gusts up to 11 mph overnight. All in all, an interestingly dull weather-maker. LOL |
| 2025-03-12 | 7:00 AM | 0.01 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 43.7 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 59.5 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 43.7 degrees. Not sure when the rain fell, as it wasn't enough to trigger my digitaI gauge, but it was long enough ago that the patio pavement is drying out, as was the funnel. The reading had a high edge to the "bubble" but the bottom was clearly over the first mark. Despite the high temperature, which only stayed up there for about 3 hours, by 5pm it was breezy and that made the dropping temps feel colder, and clammy with the increasing clouds as the front moved in. There's more rain expected today. |
| 2025-03-11 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 45 degrees and overcast, maybe a little fog, but the air is dry. Not even dew in the funnel. Yesterday's high was 56.1 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 45 degrees. |
| 2025-03-10 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 43.7 degrees and increasingly overcast. Yesterday's high was 65.3 degrees, and the overnight low was 42.8 degrees. |
| 2025-03-09 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 35.4 degrees, foggy and dark. Yesterday's high was a gorgeous 68.7 degrees, and the overnight low was 34.2 degrees. |
| 2025-03-08 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 37.8 degrees and clear. Yesterday's high was 63.1 degrees, and the overnight low was 33.8 degrees. Was so sad to be stuck inside almost all day, but did get in the garden to weed a bit at dusk. Spring is coming! |
| 2025-03-07 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 38.7 degrees and overcast, with some clearing. Supposed to be sunny today. Yesterday's high was 59 degrees, and the rain I thought I'd heard was forecast never occurred. Overnight low was 31.5 degrees. |
| 2025-03-06 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 33.1 degrees and mostly clear, with light fog. There are clouds massing to the southeast, likely bringing the rain that's forecast for today. Yesterday's high was 55.8 degrees, though the breeze kept it brisk. The overnight low was 33.1 degrees. |
| 2025-03-05 | 7:00 AM | 0.13 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 35.1 degrees and foggy, hopefully clearing. Yesterday's high was 60.3 degrees, and the overnight low was 33.1. Continues to be breezy in the early afternoon, with gusts up to 14 mph, and an average of 6.6 mph. The catch was very close to .14, but just enough below the line that I couldn't call it. |
| 2025-03-04 | 6:43 AM | 0.11 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 42.4 degrees and overcast, raining lightly. Yesterday's high was 57.7 degrees, mostly cloudy with some sun breaks. Breezy, with gusts up to 10 mph, around noon, an average of 5 mph. The overnight low was 37.4 degrees. |
| 2025-03-03 | 7:00 AM | 0.06 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 44.4 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 55.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 44.1 degrees. Most of the reading came from showers in the early evening, just before sunset. |
| 2025-03-02 | 7:00 AM | 0.10 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 44.4 degrees and overcast. Rained recently, but pavements already starting to dry. Yesterday's high was 68.5 degrees and we're at the overnight low of 44.6. Had a bit of wind a little afternoon, with the biggest gust up to 14 mph, but the rain didn't start until after midnight. |
| 2025-03-01 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 36.7 degrees and clear, maybe a light fog. Yesterday's high was a sunny 68.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 35.1 degrees. Quite the swing in temperature. A little breezy, with gusts up to 11 mph, but otherwise a comfortable day. |
| 2025-02-28 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 33.8 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was a sunny 68.7 degrees, and the overnight low was 32.2 degrees. A bit breezy with 11 mph gusts. Noticed a fir branch hung on the power lines that I hadn't seen before. Thinnish, like a branch end, but a good 3 feet long, maybe 4. The nearest fir is a good 50-75 yards away. Maybe I just didn't notice it before, but maybe it came down in the windstorm, and was pushed closer in subsequent breezes. The wind direction would support that. But of course that's speculation. Just found it to be an amusing side note. |
| 2025-02-27 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 33.4 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 61 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 33.4 degrees. Once the fog burned off, it was a very lovely day. |
| 2025-02-26 | 7:00 AM | 0.01 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 31.6 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 58.6 degrees, and the overnight low was 29.8. The reading was so very close to a trace, but the bottom of the "bubble" did hit the first mark. There were a couple of sprinkling showers during the day, so I'm confident the reading was from rainfall. There was ice in the funnel that needed to be melted, likely from freezing fog, but this was not included in the reading. I doubt it would have changed the total. |
| 2025-02-25 | 7:00 AM | 0.81 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 41.5 degrees and clouds that are clearing. Yesterday's high was 59.2 degrees, and the overnight low was 41.4. It was very blustery and rainy all day and into the night. Wind gusts got up to 26 mph a couple of times in the early afternoon. I came home to find an exterior window shade dangling by two of its five hooks, and larger objects blown over.
Lots of tree debris down in the streets, but I didn't see any structures damaged. (I did hear of downed power lines and trees, mostly well north of here, though the power did flicker at my work, which is 5 miles from this station.) Several intense showers, with sprinkles in between. Last significant shower lasted from about 10 pm and didn't stop until 3am. The weather folks were warning of thunderstorms, but I never heard any, nor saw any lightning. I do work in an office with no windows, though.
Some of yesterday's systems might have called for a Significant WX report, but since I wasn't at my station's location, I wasn't sure whether to make a report, so I just added my observations here. |
| 2025-02-24 | 7:00 AM | 0.90 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 48.6 degrees and overcast, not raining at the moment. Yesterday's high was 60.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 42.1 degrees. It rained steadily for most of the morning, into the afternoon, then tapered off around 5pm before picking up again around 4am. I can't see the river from my house, but I expect it's up. It had been allowed to drop very low, so I have no fear there's not plenty of room in the reservoirs. During the rain the gutters on the street were quite full, though not really pooling up since the drains are not blocked by leaves. The field / orchard behind the house has multiple puddles. |
| 2025-02-23 | 7:00 AM | 0.62 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 54.7 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 62.6 degrees. While it never got sunny, it didn't start raining in earnest until just before dark. Then we got about .25 before midnight. (My digital gauge reported .22 and it's always lower than my official gauge.) The overnight low was a balmy 53.4 degrees. We did get some gusting winds around 3pm, as much as 19mph. I was out when a stiff breeze blew lingering leaves back up into the sky like a murmuration of of birds, though it was just leaves that had recently been blown out of trees that had been holding onto them. The wind didn't calm down until about 5am, averaging about 10 mph. |
| 2025-02-22 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 46.2 degrees and mostly cloudy. Beautiful sunrise for about a minute. Nothing in the gauge. Yesterday's high was 60.3 degrees, and the overnight low was 45.7 degrees. I guess we're expecting a storm. Will make a report if it happens. |
| 2025-02-21 | 7:00 AM | NA | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 32.2 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 59.4 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 32.2 degrees. There was a trace in the tube, but there's a good chance it's from the fog, and not a small shower in the morning yesterday. I marked it as a zero and leave it to your discretion whether it ought to be a trace. |
| 2025-02-20 | 7:00 AM | 0.13 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.5 degrees and mostly cloudy. Some fog, or maybe just low hanging clouds. Yesterday's high was 55.9 degrees, and the overnight low was 39.9 degrees. Had a small shower around 3am this morning, but most of the catch is from before noon, and then a series of short but intense showers between noon and 2:30pm, when it thankfully stopped just in time for my afternoon walk with my sister. |
| 2025-02-19 | 7:00 AM | 0.21 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 46.4 degrees and overcast, raining lightly. Yesterday's high was 50.2 degrees, and the overnight low was 44.4 degrees. Several short but heavy showers throughout the afternoon and increasing since about 3am.
Breezy, with gusts up to 9mph. |
| 2025-02-18 | 7:00 AM | 0.17 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 41.7 degrees and mostly cloudy. Beautiful firey sunrise this morning. Yesterday's high was 51.1 degrees, and the overnight low was 39.4 degrees. Most of the reading came from showers between 7am and 2pm, though it looks like there was a brief one around 3am today, too. Breeze gusted up to 10 mph yesterday, but it's been calm this morning. |
| 2025-02-17 | 7:00 AM | 0.34 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 45 degrees and overcast. A rain shower has just passed through and everything is wet. My digital gauge shows .02 from that shower, the rest of the reading came from multiple showers, some heavier than others, throughout yesterday. Yesterday's high was a gloomy 54 degrees, and the overnight low was 44.2. Feels like Spring is in the air, though it's probably far too early to call it. |
| 2025-02-16 | 7:00 AM | 0.10 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | . 43.0 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was a relatively balmy 52.9 degrees. Not sunny, just vastly warmer than we've been having. A few sprinkles of rain during the day, with a fairly heavy shower starting around 9pm and lasting until just past midnight, and again from about 4:30 to 6 am,. |
| 2025-02-15 | 7:00 AM | 0.10 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 36 degrees and overcast, though I can see blue through the clouds overhead. Yesterday's high was a comparably balmy 47.8 degrees, that melted all the remaining snow/ice . The overnight low was 34.2 degrees. The glaze of ice in the trees at home never manifested into anything, though I saw a neighbor's bamboo trees all lying over like the leaves were weighed down with ice. |
| 2025-02-14 | 7:00 AM | 0.83 | NA | NA | T | NA | | 32.0 degrees and overcast, raining. Yesterday's high was a mere 35.2 degrees, and an overnight low of 31.8. As I reported in my significant WX report, there were patches of blue sky at times. The streets even dried out by mid-day. The rain kicked in around 1 in the afternoon, fairly heavy showers, with my digital gauge reporting .4/hr for over an hour twice between 1pm and midnight, then slightly lower, but longer showers between midnight and the reading time. Several times I awoke in the night to hear rain on the roof. With temps hovering so close and actually below freezing, I was expecting ice, but while the funnel had a glaze of ice on it, the inner tube was mostly liquid, just a fine crystal spike of ice floating vertical in the water. Melted immediately from the warmth of my hand on the tube. Hubby has been out working, and says the roads are fine, though schools are on a 2 hour delay, to be on the safe side, I reckon. We'll see if we dodged a bullet on this system. Oh, and as for yesterday's snow, there's still a trace in the landscaping, surviving the rain since the temps are so close to freezing, but I don't think there was any new snowfall, at least not that I can tell. Definitely none I can measure.
ETA: I just noticed a glaze of ice on the tree branches out front when I opened my blinds. Mostly just the rain dripping from the branches, though the curly willow appears to have it all the way around the thinner branches. I'll do a special report if it gets worse before it gets better. |
| 2025-02-13 | 7:00 AM | 0.19 | 0.5 | NA | 0.5 | NA | | 27.9 degrees and freezing rain. Yesterday's high was a sunny 42.4 degrees and breezy, with gusts up to 11 mph. The overnight low was 27.3 degrees. The freezing rain started around 2am, near as I can tell, and it was falling lightly as I took the reading. I'd forgotten to remove the funnel, so I brought it and the inner tube inside to melt it, leaving the outer tube outside to continue to collect for tomorrow's reading. I did not take a core of the accumulation, but I did measure the depth at right about 1/2 inch. It's supposed to stop in a couple hours, so I'll do a significant weather observation report later in the day. It's supposed to transition to rain in the late afternoon, and I don't want to miss reporting the final outcome. My method of melting what was in the funnel and tube was both a warm water bath for the tube, and a hairdryer to the side of the funnel. My work closed for the day, but Hubby drove in to his site to find they were closed, too. He reported no difficulty on his drive, but heard of several accidents in the area. I will do a conditions report later today, too.
ETA that after reading the daily message about types of winter precipitation, the snow was probably a mix of graupel and freezing rain. I guess I treated the measurement more like snow than freezing rain. |
| 2025-02-12 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 16.9 degrees and mostly clear, just a little light fog. Yesterday's high was 42.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 16.7 degrees. Got a little breezy yesterday, with gusts up to 12 mph, making a bitter windchill. Forecast calls for freezing rain tonight, though its "only" calling for a quarter inch, not like last year's storm. Thank goodness. Will report on whatever happens, of course. |
| 2025-02-11 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 21.2 degrees and clearing, with some fog. Yesterday's high was a mere 40.3 degrees, and the overnight low was 20.7 degrees. |
| 2025-02-10 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 30.6 degrees and cloudy, though I can see blue through the clouds so it may be more like fog. Yesterday's high was 49.6 degrees, with plenty of sun breaks. The overnight low was 25.5. Had wind gusts up to 10 mph that made the temp feel bitter cold at times, but in the sun it was quite pleasant, as long as one stayed out of the wind. |
| 2025-02-09 | 7:00 AM | 0.07 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 36.1 degrees and overcast, light fog. Yesterday's high was 48 degrees, and the overnight low was 35.6 degrees. We did not get more snow after what fell right before yesterday's reading. Most of the catch fell before noon, with another shower around 9pm. I see blue through the clouds, and the forecast is calling for mostly sunny, and temp dropping back into the 20s overnight.
{EDIT: Observer reported 0.70 for new gauge catch. This is high compared to surrounding reports of 0.06 to 0.11 and appears to be a decimal typo. Changed report of 0.70 to NA until observer can be contacted to verify. Submission Time Before EDIT; 2/9/2025 7:33 AM CoCoSTAFF DNT} |
| 2025-02-08 | 7:00 AM | 0.16 | T | T | T | T | | 33.1 degrees with thin overcast at the moment. Yesterday's high was 48.7 degrees, and the overnight low was 32.7 degrees. Rain started about 3:30 am. Snow fell sometime between 5 am and the reading time of 7am. It was not snowing or raining when I took the reading. I consider the snowfall to be a trace, as it didn't accumulate on pavements or much of my landscaping (bark mulch) only on metal or plastic roofs, and vehicles. Snow had clogged the funnel, so I made note of the amount in the tube before l let the snow melt into the tube. It was .1 before melting, and .16 after. I tried to put that in the SWE field, but it wouldn't let me when the accumulation value was "trace." There was no ice on the ground when I went out, either. Forecast is calling for more "wintery mix" until about 10am today. I don't imagine there'll be anything that will last until tomorrow's reading, but if there's more than a trace that falls, I'll do a significant weather observation report, regardless of whether it lasts until morning. |
| 2025-02-07 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 42.4 degrees and mostly cloudy. No reason to think the trace isn't legit. Yesterday's high was a mere 34.9 degrees, and the overnight low was 29.7 degrees. A little breezy overnight, with gusts up to 13 mph. |
| 2025-02-06 | 7:00 AM | 0.33 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 33.1 degrees and clearing. Yesterday's high was 42.6 degrees and we're at the overnight low of 33.1 degrees. Yesterday was all over the place, weather-wise. We had several "snowy mix" showers, and plain rain from drizzle to downpour. We also had sun breaks and breezy transitions, with one point having 17 mph gusts. Very unsettled. No accumulation of snow, at least none lasting more than about 5 minutes. Don't recall seeing any hail. The "snowy mix" I saw was very large, very wet flakes that mostly vanished into the wet pavement and landscape. Tomorrow could get really interesting, as they're calling for low temp of 29 tonight. If it's still this wet, we'll have ice... but the hourly forecast says we won't have much precipitation, and I'm okay with that. LOL |
| 2025-02-05 | 7:00 AM | T | T | NA | NA | NA | | 31.1 degrees and mostly cloudy, with some big clear patches. The trace is comprised of what looks like a very very light dusting of snow granules, or perhaps tiny hailstones. Very grainy, about the size of grains of sand. Nothing measurable on the ground or on shed roofs, etc, but the trace is clearly visible. Melted what was in the funnel to get the trace catch. The Wundermap shows it's snowing just north of me, and looking at the radar review, it's the "system" that just passed over my location. Not the snow day my co-workers were praying for. Yesterday's high was 41.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 30.0 degrees. More snow in the forecast for today. We'll see. |
| 2025-02-04 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 31.5 degrees and foggy, overcast. Yesterday's high was 41.0 degrees, and the overnight low was 30.2 degrees. A co-worker reported seeing snow mixed with rain last night, but it stayed dry here. She lives closer to the mountaing than I do. |
| 2025-02-03 | 7:00 AM | 0.15 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 32.7 degrees and mostly cloudy. Yesterday's high was 46.2 degrees, and the overnight low was 32.0. No frost or ice (yet) and it felt weirdly warm for being just a fraction above freezing. We'll see if it snows today, though my Wunderground app says not until Wednesday. The catch was from several rain showers throughout the day, not the dreary "rain all day" type, starting around 9am and ending just after midnight. There were a few sun breaks, too, so a mixed bag kind of day. |
| 2025-02-02 | 7:00 AM | 0.02 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 36.3 degrees and overcast, raining very lightly. Yesterday's high was 49.3 degrees, with breezy gusts up to 9 mph, and some sun breaks. The overnight low was 35.6 degrees. Chance of snow this evening... we'll see. |
| 2025-02-01 | 7:00 AM | 0.62 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.1 degrees and overcast, looking a little thin at the moment, I can almost see blue sky up there. Yesterday's high was a balmy 55.8 degrees, with a warm breeze that got up to 12 mph. We're at the overnight low of 40.1 degrees. The bulk of the reading fell before midnight. |
| 2025-01-31 | 7:01 AM | 0.22 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 40.6 degrees and overcast, with a new rain shower ramping up. Yesterday's high was 48.6 degrees, and the overnight low was 36.5 degrees. It's supposed to rain all day today, with snow levels staying too high to have it fall here on the valley floor, but the mountain passes are expecting over a foot of snow. We'll see if we get anything over the weekend. I haven't mentioned the river level in a few days, but it was dropping steadily, and by yesterday I saw it is well below the levels it got to earlier in the month. There must be plenty of room for more rain. |
| 2025-01-30 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 27.5 degrees and mostly clear, with fog and maybe some clouds coming in. Yesterday's high was 55.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 23.2 degrees. Hourly forecast calls for clouds increasing all day, but the first measurable rain isn't called for until 11pm, and then rain all day Friday. At least temps look too warm for snow. |
| 2025-01-29 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | Logged after the fact. Sure I just missed logging a zero. |
| 2025-01-28 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 21.4 degrees and clear, with fog. Yesterday's high was 49.3 and the overnight low of 20.5 degrees. |
| 2025-01-27 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 21.2 degrees and clearing, foggy. Yesterday's high was a sunny 46.4 degrees and the overnight low was 20.7 degrees. |
| 2025-01-26 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 18.5 degrees and clear, with a little light fog. Yesterday's high was a sunny 48.7, and we're at the overnight low of 18.5. Still happy we're *not* covered in ice and snow. |
| 2025-01-25 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 25.9 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 46-6 degrees, and the overnight low was 25 degrees. We're looking at cold like this through to Thursday afternoon, when we'll finally see some clouds and even rain, along with warmer lows. |
| 2025-01-24 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 25 degrees and light fog. Yesterday's high was 45.5 and the overnight how was 24.6. Got a little sun and a little clouds yesterday. My phone said it might rain at one point, but it never did. |
| 2025-01-23 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 23.9 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 43.5 degrees and the overnight low was 22.6 degrees. |
| 2025-01-22 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 23.2 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high got up to 53.4 degrees and was nice and sunny. Overnight low was 22.5 degrees. River level is finally starting to drop. The standing water in the orchard is finally dried up, too, though it's still muddy. (In December, they tore out the trees damaged by last January's ice storm -- all of them were going to be replaced with blight resistant filberts anyway -- which left a muddy mess.) |
| 2025-01-21 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 25.9 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 44.1 degrees, and the overnight low 25.5 degrees. I expect the fog is freezing this morning, like it was yesterday. The frozen crystals almost looked like snow when I left for work at 8am. We did have a sunny afternoon. It's nice that while nights are so cold, we're still getting above freezing during the day. Today's high is expected to hit almost 50 degrees, though the low is expected to be mid-20s again. River was still high, but seems to be slowly easing off. I reckon they're getting close to their reservoir goal. |
| 2025-01-20 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 24.3 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was a brisk but sunny 41 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 24.3 degrees. River continues to run high, but I'm confident it's just the engineers letting the reservoirs drain down to accommodate more winter rain. |
| 2025-01-19 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 28.4 degrees and frosty, foggy. Yesterday's high was a sunny 41.2 degrees, though there were clouds all around our station. Temps dropped pretty early, dipping below freezing by about 6pm and hitting 24.8 degrees before midnight. Temp rose marginally by midnight, making the overnight low 26.6 degrees. Just happy it's not snowing or icing. Don't need a repeat of last year's ice storm. |
| 2025-01-18 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | 32.7 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 37.4 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 32.7 degrees. We're supposed to get some sun today, instead of just gray. Here's hoping! |
| 2025-01-17 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | NA | NA | | 34.2 degrees and foggy. Air stagnation alert is still in effect. Yesterday's high was only 37-4 degrees, and we're at the the overnight low of 34.2 degrees. Forecast has been threatening temps in the 20s, but I guess my micro-climate is a touch warmer -- though the Wunderground map shows other stations in the rest of town are at similar temps. River is still up, but I'm sure that's the engineers letting the reservoirs draw down to make room for more rain. |
| 2025-01-16 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | NA | NA | | 32.5 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was only 36.9 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 32.5 degrees. Still looking at temps in the 20s in the next couple days, though highs are still expected to be in the 40s, so the world shouldn't freeze solid. |
| 2025-01-15 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 33.3 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was a bracing 39.4 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 33.3 degrees. Supposed to drop into the mid-to-high 20s overnight this week. There's an air stagnation alert again, in effect until late tomorrow. |
| 2025-01-14 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | NA | NA | | 35.1 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was only 40.5 degrees, and the overnight low was 34.9 degrees. There was a tiny trace in the tube, but I'm as confident as I ever get that it was either leftover or from the fog. |
| 2025-01-13 | 7:00 AM | T | NA | NA | NA | NA | | True trace. I was outside when it started sprinkling. |
| 2025-01-12 | 7:00 AM | 0.01 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 37.9 degrees and overcast, or foggy. Hard to know for sure in the dark, except that no stars are out. Yesterday's high was 52.7 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 37.9 degrees. Yesterday's light rain at the time of the reading didn't add up to much, and was just barely at the first mark. The sun did come out for much of the day, though the light breeze kept the air brisk, and when the sun went behind the clouds, it got downright chilly. |
| 2025-01-11 | 7:01 AM | 0.64 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 38.5 degrees and overcast, raining very lightly. Yesterday's high was 53.8 degrees, and the overnight low was 37.9 degrees. The rain started right before 8am yesterday, and in two showers before 2pm it had dumped over a half inch. Sky cleared in the afternoon, and the rest of the catch came from showers after midnight. |
| 2025-01-10 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | NA | NA | | 40.6 degrees and foggy, though not as foggy as yesterday. Yesterday's high was 41.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 36.7 degrees. There was a trace in the tube again, but this time I'm more certain it was due to the fog, which hung around until about noon, and not any rainfall. |
| 2025-01-09 | 7:00 AM | T | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 36.1 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 50.7 degrees, and the overnight low was 36 degrees. Had some sun breaking through in the afternoon, but mostly it was a gray day. There was a trace in the tube, but I'm 99.9999 percent sure it's just from the fog, though it was nearly to the first mark. Waffling about making it as a trace, and decided to do it since I'm not 100 percent sure. |
| 2025-01-08 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | NA | NA | | 38.7 degrees and foggy. Welcome back, inversion. Yesterday's high was a gray 45.3 degrees, and the overnight low was 36.1 degrees. There was a trace in the tube but I'm as sure as I ever get that it was from the inversion fog. |
| 2025-01-07 | 7:00 AM | T | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 37.2 degrees and foggy. Yesterday's high was 54.1 degrees, and the overnight low was 35.8 degrees. |
| 2025-01-06 | 7:02 AM | 0.60 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 47.1 degrees and overcast. Had been raining up until a few minutes ago, everything is still dripping. Yesterday's high was 52.5 degrees, and we're at the overnight low of 47.1 degrees. Rain started around 1pm and didn't end until after 10, then started up again around 2am. |
| 2025-01-05 | 7:00 AM | 0.56 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 45.9 degrees and clearing, I hope. Yesterday's high was 48.4 degrees, and the overnight low was 45.3 degrees. It rained most of the afternoon, but settled down after dark, and then just a shower around 5am. |
| 2025-01-04 | 7:00 AM | 0.13 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 44.1 degrees and overcast. Yesterday's high was 52 degrees, and the overnight low was 42.3 degrees. |
| 2025-01-03 | 7:01 AM | 1.28 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 48.2 degrees and overcast, raining lightly. Yesterday's high was arainy 49.3 degrees, and the overnight low was 45.1 degrees. Rain started around 8am and pretty much didn't let up all day, through to this morning. The onslaught was so subtle I was surprised at how much accumulated. LOL There's standing water in the orchards and the river is up, but still not really threatening overflow, at least not as of the last daylight yesterday. More rain due through the weekend. Starting the year out wet, for sure. |
| 2025-01-02 | 7:00 AM | 0.26 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 43.2 degrees and mostly cloudy. Yesterday's high was 45.7 degrees, and the overnight low was 39.9 degrees. |
| 2025-01-01 | 7:00 AM | 0.14 | NA | NA | NA | NA | | 40.6 degrees and mostly cloudy. Yesterday's high was achilly 44.6 degrees, and the overnight low was 40.1 degrees. Rain didn't start until after dark. |
