Also the gauge value is underestimated, there was snow above the top of the open cylinder which fell off when I attempted to remove the cylinder from its holder. In future, knock that snow down into the cylinder before attempting to remove the cylinder. Boiling water is usually necessary to remove the cylinder.
I did measure snow depth after the first storm was over - 2.5", afternoon of 1/17. The second storm began before 8 AM 1/18, and was still snowing at dusk 1/18. |
