Conditions at that time were: Temp.: 34 degrees and there was no mix combination. Moderate Snow: 0944. Moderate snow continuing at 1100 hrs. Total SnowBoard catch at that time was .5” with no observable mixing of precipatation. Snow ended at 1335 hrs. Total 2.9 inches before compaction with an outer cylinder SWE of 0.21 inches. The SnowBoard measured the same 2.9 inches with a SWE value of 0.229.
A second band of Snow began to fall across this station, again from the south between 0330 hrs and 0430 hrs on 1/18 and was continuing through my 0700 hrs. report. Additionally; the SnowPack board
measurements also measured similarly. An additional 0.5 inches of snow fell across this station between 4-7 am, adding to this 24 hr daily report. Writer of this report believes that there was some compaction after the snow from the previous day during this 24 hr reporting time, why this report reflects 3.5 inches new snow accounting for an additional .5 “new” inch. |
