| 2026-03-04 | 7:00 AM | 0.31 | T | T | T | T | | Light sleet and a few flurries continued for a short time after 7 AM yesterday, then changed to brief light freezing rain, then rain. Brief moderate rain around 3-3:30 PM. Foggy evening with drizzle/light rain. There was still about 10-20% snow coverage in shady areas, and 50-60% coverage on the Woodlane Road field to my east. |
| 2026-03-03 | 7:00 AM | T | T | T | T | T | | Yesterday’s high 33°, evening low 30°. 33/27 at obs. Light, small sleet pellets and a few flurries started around 6:30 AM. A very minor dusting of accumulation on elevated surfaces and the snowboard, but not measurable. Still about 10-20% coverage of snow in shady areas and north facing lawns, no change since yesterday. Woodlane Road field to my east still has 60-70% coverage of snow. |
| 2026-03-02 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | T | T | | Sprinkles around 9 AM yesterday. High temp 45°, morning low 23°. About 10-20% coverage of snowpack remains, mainly in shady areas and north facing lawns. The field on Woodlane Road to my east still has about 70% coverage of snow. |
| 2026-03-01 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | T | T | | Yesterday's high 59°, warmest temp since November 26th (day before Thanksgiving). Morning low 31°. Snowpack melted significantly during the afternoon, and is now below 50% coverage. Shady areas are still covered by 1-2” of snow, but coverage has fallen to about 30-40%, not high enough to justify more than a trace of depth. In my yard, only the portions that have near 100% shade are still covered, elsewhere is completely bare. The coverage in the large, open field a block from my house is also about 30-40%. On my way to work, I noticed the field in Westampton Twp between I-295 and NJTP (about 2 miles east of my house) is still about 80% coverage. Perhaps a local area of higher snowfall there, or colder overnight temps. Long story short, there is still snowpack on the ground in spots, but it’s become much more bare in a majority of areas. Large piles also remain. |
| 2026-02-28 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 3.0 | 0.65 | | Yesterday’s high 51°, morning low 27°. Warmest temp since January 14th. Freezing fog at obs, visibility around 1/4 to 1/2 miles. Snowpack continues to melt, and some patches of bare areas have developed. Snowpack coverage still around 80-90% though. Depth varies between 2-4” where coverage still exists. |
| 2026-02-27 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 0.93 | | Evening light rain wasn’t quite measurable. High yesterday 47°, morning low 24°. Snowpack depth is around 4-5”, and about 6” in more shaded areas, so will go with 5” average depth, albeit a weak one. Snow melted noticeably more yesterday afternoon. |
| 2026-02-26 | 7:00 AM | T | T | T | 7.0 | 1.21 | | Yesterday’s high 45°, morning low 28°. Brief flurries around 9 AM. Brief light shower/sprinkles around 9 PM. No measurable rainfall. Snowpack continues to melt and settle. Plenty of melt runoff. Snowpack depth varies between 6-8”, average depth 7”. Some isolated spots lower where standing water is under snowpack. |
| 2026-02-25 | 7:00 AM | 0.03 | 0.8 | 0.03 | 10.0 | 1.30 | | Daytime high yesterday 31°, evening low 20°, at obs 31°. Light, steady, fluffy snow from 5:30-6:30 AM accumulated to just shy of an inch. Snowpack closer to 9” before new snow is now back up to a solid 10”. As deep as 11-12” in spots, as low as 8-9” in spots. Areas where standing water was under the snow have melted much more, but very isolated in nature (not factoring into depth average). Gauge catch of 0.02” set to match more realistic board core sample of 0.03”. 27:1 snow to liquid ratio. |
| 2026-02-24 | 7:00 AM | 0.09 | 1.1 | 0.09 | 12.0 | 1.35 | | High 36° yesterday, morning low 26°. Light accumulating snow (1.1”) continued much of the morning, then tapered to flurries and ended in the afternoon. Storm total 19.2”, about twice my personal record snowfall for a single storm! Snowpack melted and settled considerably in the afternoon once clouds thinned and temps warmed in the mid 30s. This morning, average depth is 11-12” in my usual measuring spot. Measured several locations in different yards nearby to confirm. Some patches near trees and where water tends to pond have melted much more, roughly 9”, and other drifted areas are higher, closer to 14”. |
| 2026-02-23 | 7:00 AM | 1.60 | 18.1 | 1.50 | 16.0 | 1.63 | | A dream come true. My first ever double digit snow storm, and blew right past a foot and reach a foot and a half at 7 AM! Snow is stick, but not very wet seeming. Kinda odd character. Over 10:1 though for sure. Light rain continued all morning, then changed to snow and intensified around 3 PM. Snow started sticking fairly quickly. Near 2” per hour rates on average. Gauge catch may have some under catch. Measured and emptied it once during the storm so it wouldn’t overflow. Gauge catch includes roughly 0.10” of rain and “white rain” before sticking. Low temp 30°. High 40° yesterday. |
| 2026-02-22 | 7:00 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | High 50° yesterday, overnight low 30°. Light rain/sprinkles began around 6 AM, but not measurable yet. Only large piles remain from the Jan 25 storm. Ground very soggy still, but completely thawed. Blizzard on the way… |
| 2026-02-21 | 7:00 AM | 0.47 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | Light to moderate rain continued until about 10 AM, then a few showers and drizzle. Foggy overnight. High 45° yesterday, morning low 32°. Snowpack is essentially gone. A few isolated very small patches in very shady spots, otherwise just piles remain. |
| 2026-02-20 | 7:00 AM | 0.18 | 0.0 | 0.00 | T | T | | Yesterday’s high 44°, low last evening 36°. Brief light rain last evening amounted to 0.02”. The rest fell after 5:30 AM. Moderate steady rain at obs. Snowpack is nearly gone, but some patches of 1-2” snowpack remains in about 10-20% coverage. Mainly areas of lower sun exposure, and perhaps most notably areas that still had snow on the ground before the January 25th storm. Also some patches remaining in an open field near my house. Elsewhere, piles of snow/sleet remain along many paved areas. Ground is very water logged now, like a sponge, standing water in my yard. Runoff in curbs from snowmelt and rain. |
| 2026-02-19 | 7:00 AM | 0.05 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 1.0 | 0.39 | | Yesterday’s high 43°, morning low 37°. Evening showers, including one brief heavy shower (most if not all measurable rain came from that one heavier shower). Snowpack has melted considerably, but remaining around 50-60% coverage locally in my neighborhood and in my yard. An open field a block from my house is still about 60-70% coverage, so will go with something more than a trace for depth. Where snowpack remains, depth ranges from 1-3”, as deep as 4” still in one spot I found. Given limited coverage, will go with 1” average depth. Core sample taken from a spot in the snowpack that was about 1” deep. Ground has thawed considerably too, with a lot of standing melt water in the grass. Still a few spots frozen though. Very soggy. |
| 2026-02-18 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 3.0 | 1.04 | | Yesterday’s high 42°, overnight low 34°. First overnight low temp above freezing since Jan 22 (27 days ago). Snowpack has melted some more, but remains around 3-4” deep on average. Some spots as deep as 5”, but bare spots continue to grow (10-20% bare). Will drop avg depth due to decreasing snowpack coverage, though where snowpack remains is actually closer to around 4”. Notably lower SWE indicates more substantial melting has been ongoing for the last 24 hours. Snowpack is very slushy, and did not refreeze overnight. Ground continues to thaw, but remains frozen in a majority of areas. Dense fog overnight and at obs. |
| 2026-02-17 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 4.0 | 1.37 | | Yesterday’s high 38°, overnight low 29°. All of Sunday night’s new snowfall melted by around noon. The top sleet layer of the snowpack turned very soft and slushy by the afternoon, but refroze into a hard crust of ice again by evening. Hard enough that it would not give way again when walking on it in some thicker spots. Truly a remarkable ebb and flow of this snowpack’s character. Average snowpack depth is back down to a strong 4” since the new snow on top melted. Shady areas on north sides of houses and tree lines remains a solid 5”, even isolated 6” deep (areas where there was still an inch or two remaining from the mid-January snow before the big storm). Where undisturbed snow remains on the ground (90% coverage), snow depth ranges from 4-5”, mainly near 4” in typically exposed areas. High sun exposure areas are closer to 3.5”, with gradually growing bare patches near trees and south sides of houses and fences. Could argue for a weak 5” avg snow depth, but will go with 4” given bare patches noticeably increasing in presence (~10% coverage of bare ground). Core sample depth was 4.5”. The ground is still frozen. The exception is areas where melt water is running or pooling has thawed the top layer of soil. |
| 2026-02-16 | 7:00 AM | 0.26 | 0.6 | 0.14 | 5.0 | 1.68 | | Precip began around 4 PM as drizzle. Drizzle continued off and on through 7 PM or so, then turned into a steadier light rain mixed with sleet. By 8 PM, the mixing with sleet turned into mixing with snow. Snow was intermittent, it was predominantly rain with occasional flakes at times through about midnight. Any flakes were melting on contact, with temps around 34-35°. It was during this time that about half of the event total liquid fell. Around midnight, precip changed to all snow. Massive aggregates (as large as quarters) falling for a good hour or so dropped air temp to 33° and started accumulating on almost all surfaces, including pavement. A quick 0.3” within an hour. After 1 AM, snow became lighter with smaller, very wet, slushy flakes that sounded almost like sleet hitting my coat. Snowfall was 0.4” when I went to bed at 2 AM and coating all untreated, paved surfaces. Additional 0.2” overnight while I slept for an event total of 0.6”. The slushy snowfall is hardening some now that temps are a little colder. Snow ended around 4 AM.
Snowboard was quite heavy for a thin coating of snow, 0.14” board sample. Snowpack softened considerably during the daytime Sunday, and especially after rain began. Snow depth did not decrease much with the rain though, if at all. I measured a solid 4” depth as rain began. Average measurements back to around 4-5” again, with some spots near 6”. Raised depth back to 5” on average, albeit a weak 5”. My snowpack core sample was taken from the same area I’ve been using the past several days for consistency in comparison, though the depth was closer to 6”. So the snowpack SWE is probably a little higher than an areal average would probably be. In any case, the snowpack definitely absorbed a considerable amount of the rain that fell. Yesterday’s high 46°, morning low and at obs 32°. Grass/snowpack temp probe min 32°. |
| 2026-02-15 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 4.0 | 1.31 | | Yesterday’s high 49°, warmest since January 22nd (23 days prior). Morning low 25°. While some spots remain near 5”, snowpack depth has fallen closer to 4” on average. A couple spots near 3.5”, others closer to 6”. It’s a strong 4”. A couple bare spots developing near trees, along the southern sides of fences and houses. Core sample taken in an area that’s closer to 5”, which probably explains why it remains about 1.3”. Trying to keep the core sample measuring spot consistent, but may change to a more representative spot. It’s getting very difficult to sample accurately now, as the snow underneath the ice collapses under pressure. |
| 2026-02-14 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.28 | | Yesterday’s high 37°, overnight low 22°. I took the time to sample snowpack depth in several different spots in my yard and other yards along my street to confirm an average of 5”. Snow depth varies depending on the exact area you measure, but my findings were depths ranging between 4-6”. So my normal measuring spot around 5” is still representative. No evidence of flurries overnight. |
| 2026-02-13 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.22 | | Yesterday’s high 37°, morning low 19°. Snowpack has settled slightly in some spots. My lawn mower tracks are starting to appear in the surface of the snowpack/ice. Edges of cleared snowpack along pavement and structures continues to recede and calve like a glacier in some spots. Snow depth in my measuring area in the middle of my lawn still around 4.5-5” on average. A couple sample spots have dropped closer to 4” now. Core sample has diminished some, which makes sense based on the character of the snow under the ice. It’s getting thinner. I suspect the next 40° day will drop the depth more. |
| 2026-02-12 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.35 | | Yesterday’s high 46°, morning low 32°. Snowpack (really a glacier at this point) was largely unfazed by yesterday’s warmth and wind. Dewpoints in the low 20s. Some melting and sublimation noticeable along cleared areas, like pavement, foot prints, and core sample holes, but not really anywhere else. I think this is going to stick around for a while longer. |
| 2026-02-11 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.55 | | Yesterday’s high 39°, morning low 24°. Snowpack has settled by a couple tenths of an inch, but still remains around 4.5-5” on average. |
| 2026-02-10 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.41 | | Yesterday’s high 30°, overnight low 17°. Snowpack unchanged. Edges of the snowpack along cleared pavement is receding some on the northern, sun exposed side. Otherwise, little to no melting has occurred over grassy areas, only roofs and minimally on pavement. |
| 2026-02-09 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.36 | | No snowpack change. Breezy and very cold day. Yesterday’s high 19°, morning low 8°. |
| 2026-02-08 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.28 | | Very little evidence left of Friday night’s snow. A patchy thin layer of a dusting remains on top of the snow and ice pack. Snowpack depth and character haven’t changed. I guess I sampled in a slightly less dense spot. Yesterday’s daytime high of 23° occurred at obs yesterday, then the temp recovered only to 14° in the afternoon. Morning low 5°. Max measured gust 33 mph, likely more like 43 mph. Minimum wind chill -15° at 8:30p last evening. Temperature record low for February and all time wind chill record low for my station since 2018. |
| 2026-02-07 | 7:00 AM | 0.01 | 0.3 | 0.01 | 5.0 | 1.52 | | Yesterday’s high 33°, morning low 23°. Overnight low 26°. FROPA @ 5:45 AM, temperature falling rapidly at obs. Light snow last evening amounted to right around 1/4”. Graupel with FROPA, looks like the heavier snow just missed me to the west and southwest. |
| 2026-02-06 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.43 | | Yesterday’s high 33°, morning low 12°. Snowpack unchanged. |
| 2026-02-05 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 5.0 | 1.42 | | Yesterday’s high 35°, overnight low 13°. Snowpack temp probe minimum was 3°. Sleet on top of snow visibly thawed some yesterday afternoon. This plus the sun has notably decreased the snowpack by about a half inch now, with average depth samples ranging from 5.0-5.5”. It’s a strong 5”, but can’t justify 6” anymore. Core sample value hasn’t changed surprisingly. |
| 2026-02-04 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 6.0 | 1.35 | | High 37° yesterday, warmest temperature in 12 days. Overnight low 28°, warmest in 13 days. Snowpack changed minimally from the warm temps. Settled a couple tenths of an inch, but still around 5.5-6.0”, getting closer to 5.5” now. |
| 2026-02-03 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 6.0 | 1.39 | | High 33° yesterday. Overnight low 13°. Lowest wind chill +7°. Snowpack was not noticeably impacted by the above freezing temps. |
| 2026-02-02 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 6.0 | 1.41 | | No change in snowpack. Remains around 5.5-6.0” deep. Yesterday’s high 24°, overnight low 16°. Minimum wind chill 2°. |
| 2026-02-01 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 6.0 | 1.42 | | Yesterday’s high 23°, morning low 10°. Minimum wind chill -8°, lowest so far this season. Snowpack depth and water content are unchanged. The top layer of ice is so hard, you almost have to stand on it to break through it (more like shatter it). |
| 2026-01-31 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 6.0 | 1.35 | | Yesterday’s high 19°, overnight low 4°. Low of 4° is a personal station record since 2018. Snowpack surface temp probe dropped to -6°. Winds were relatively light compared to previous nights, but they came back up after midnight and prevented us from really bottoming out temp wise. Snowpack has settled a very, very small amount, a tenth of an inch or two in the last couple days, but still about 5.5-6.0” on average. Some areas deeper or shallower. |
| 2026-01-30 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 6.0 | 1.41 | | Snowpack depth and character have not changed. Yesterday’s high 22°, morning low 9°. Minimum wind chill 0°. Temp probe sitting on top of snowpack fell to 2°. |
| 2026-01-29 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 6.0 | 1.36 | | Snowpack depth and character has not changed. Very hard, think layer of ice on top. Yesterday’s high 23°, morning low 10°. Lowest wind chill +1°. |
| 2026-01-28 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 6.0 | 1.38 | | Snowpack has settled a few tenths of an inch, but still remains a solid 6” on average. Top layer of ice coated sleet is very hard and strong. High yesterday 23°, morning low 13°. Lowest wind chill +6°. |
| 2026-01-27 | 7:00 AM | T | T | T | 6.0 | 1.50 | | Morning flurries. Snowpack settled by about a half inch, so now at a solid to strong 6” depth on average. The depth varies from the drifting of the snow and sleet that fell. Some spots are about 5”, and others as much as 9” deep, but 6” on average. Some very marginal melting, but I think it really just softened the top layer of ice/sleet, which refroze and is even harder now. I may have missed a little if the core sample. It’s very difficult to sample with how hard the top layer of ice is and how deep it is. High temp yesterday 28°, morning low 14°. Lowest wind chill +5°. |
| 2026-01-26 | 7:00 AM | 1.55 | 6.4 | 1.44 | 7.0 | 1.71 | | Moderate to heavy snow continued until a change to sleet around 11:30-11:45 AM. At 11:45 AM: 4.3” snowfall since 7 AM, 5” depth, 0.57” gauge catch, 0.50” board sample. At 4 AM: 2.1” sleet, 6” depth, 0.98” gauge catch, 0.94” board sample. Event total snow and sleet was 8.1”. For the 24 hour snowfall numbers, I added the totals from the pure snow and mostly sleet together. When the sleet initially began, the surface temperature was 14°. The temperature eventually slowly rose closer to 20° by late evening. Precipitation ended around 9:30 PM, then a period of light freezing drizzle occurred. A very thin glaze of ice resulted. The snowpack is very dense and glaciated. It is a strong 6 inches deep in most areas on average. There is a very well defined layer of sleet on top of the snow pack below, with a thin glaze of ice on top of that. Result is a crunchy surface to the snowpack. Update: adjusted snowpack depth to 7” after more thorough sampling in my yard today. |
| 2026-01-25 | 7:00 AM | 0.17 | 1.7 | 0.17 | 2.0 | 0.17 | | Polar airmass in place. Very cold high of 18° yesterday, coldest for the month of January since 2018. Morning low temp and obs temp 13°. Minimum wind chill overnight -2°. Snow began just after 3 AM. Board sample and gauge catch were identical, an even 10:1 ratio so far. Snow flakes are very fine and not very “fluffy” in nature. Not a significant amount of remaining snowpack from before at my measuring site to be considered for core sampling (trace prior to new snow), so I made snowfall and snow depth measurements identical. Moderate snow falling at obs. |
| 2026-01-24 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | T | T | | Polar airmass has arrived. Low temp 9° this morning. Minimum wind chill -7° overnight. Peak gusts around 30 mph. Brrrr. No change in snow cover. There is about 30% coverage of 1-2” snowpack in shaded areas, but bare with patches of thin snow elsewhere. Enough snow remains to call it a trace IMO, but there’s no real snowpack, so to speak. |
| 2026-01-23 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | T | T | | High temp 49° yesterday with a fresh SW breeze. Felt like spring! Morning low 25°. Snowpack melted considerably in the afternoon. Shaded and wind sheltered areas still have about 1-2” of slushy dense snowpack, but exposed areas are mostly bare or covered in thin patches of snow. Considered going with 1”, but I think there’s enough coverage (40-50%) of bare ground to go with T. |
| 2026-01-22 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 2.0 | 0.34 | | Snowpack has settled more. 24 hour high temp 41° last evening. |
| 2026-01-21 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 3.0 | 0.31 | | Snowpack has settled some more, about 2.5-3” on average still though. Daytime high 23° yesterday. Overnight low 6°, coldest so far this season. Grass temp probe fell to 0°. |
| 2026-01-20 | 7:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 3.0 | 0.32 | | Snow pack has settled and sublimated/melted some since yesterday morning by a few tenths of an inch or so, but still roughly 3” deep on average. Snow pack is still at 100% coverage. Snow melted away on most exposed pavement yesterday. High temp 34° yesterday. This morning’s low 15°. Min wind chill +1°. |
| 2026-01-19 | 7:00 AM | 0.36 | 2.8 | 0.36 | 3.0 | 0.39 | | 1/18 calendar day event total was 3.3”. 1/17 total was 0.6”, for a 2 day total of 3.9”. Snow continued yesterday morning. Midday lull, then more snow in the afternoon and evening. Snow was mostly light in nature, but some brief moderate snow occurred. Much of the snow fell with a temp around 33° during the daytime. Little accumulation on pavement, especially not on salted pavement, until after dark. Snow was low ratio and slushy/thick until after frontal passage stated lowering temperatures below freezing. This also froze any slushy wet stuff on cars into ice. Gauge catch and board sample were identical, seems to be a consistent result with slushy, wet snow. Snow pack has a noticeable 1” or so thick layer of dense snow pack, almost like frozen slush, with a fluffy 2” of snow on top. Overnight low temp 17°. Grass temp probe fell to 8°. |
| 2026-01-18 | 7:00 AM | 0.16 | 1.1 | 0.16 | 1.0 | 0.10 | | For 1/17 calendar day snow: 0.6” snowfall; 0.11” gauge catch; 0.11” board sample (both identical). Snowfall occurred mainly between noon and 2 PM and did not stick to pavement, except undisturbed shaded pavement. Some sprinkles in the morning. Some light fog developed early evening. A very fine glaze of ice developed on cold surfaces.
For 1/18 calendar day through 7 AM: 0.5” snowfall; 0.05” gauge catch; 0.05” board sample (both identical). Light snow began around 5 AM and steadily increased intensity. Snow is sticking to pavement.
A scattered coating around a half inch or less remained after some melting yesterday afternoon. Ground is now covered at obs by approximately 1” of snow, some spots greater thickness than others. |
