It appears there was a little freezing rain and sleet overnight, but most of the precip was rain during the day.

Measurements (away from the house and barn where it blew off of the roofs) range from about 4.75 to 6.75". Backup gauge melted down to .38, but was probably contaminated by "roof snow".

Picked up some more sleet and perhaps freezing rain and/or rain during the evening. Both gauges agreed on a storm total catch of .56". While very disappointing for the drought, I'm thankful for no power outage.

Received mostly sleet with some freezing rain (that formed it all into "ice concrete" on the ground) and perhaps a touch of snow.
This measurement is from the backup gauge. I will subtract this amount from the value of the main gauge tomorrow.
There is a thin ice coating on limbs, but not enough to cause any noticeable sagging.
