We've had a cold spell in the second half of January, which is to be expected. Not much snow fell in the area until early Sunday morning, Feb 1, when we received .12 of melted precipitation .
At this time of year, I am happy to see the longer days, lately gaining just shy of 3 minutes each day. We have gained approximately 21 minutes in sunrise and roughly 53 minutes at the end of the day compared to the latest sunrise and the earliest sunset.
