The precipitation was a mix of snow, sleet, and rain occurred last). The "snow pack" (snow + sleet) varied over at various place in the yard. The packs were also subjected to rain and had a dense crust (air temperature below freezing). Places which had been cleared of 5 to 6" had additional accumulations of 2 - 3". There had also been some blowing snow in areas not protected by trees. The total pack is estimated to be7" = - .5". The core value included the mix of snow+sleet+rain-water mix in the large tube.
