{Gauge catch of 1.05 was unexpectedly high on January 25, and 1.40 for the two-day storm total (1/25 & 1/26) of 1.40. Nearby 2-day totals ranged from 0.43 to 0.99. The snow to liquid ratio works out to be about 9:1, which is a wet snow, but we had a dry snow during the storm due to the cold temperatures. Catch has been set to NA while the observer is contacted. NWS IND BH} {Update: Found out from the observer that drifts were above the top of his gauge. This likely led to the catch of 1.05 that compares with very nearby reports of 0.43 to 0.65.
