Snow began very lightly just before 9am on 24 Jan and intensified through the morning; not quite an inch of snow on the ground by afternoon when it slacked off. Into the evening, snow picked up pace and by 1030pm accumulation amounted to maybe 3.5". Initially the snow fell in light dry clumps but by evening it fell as very light powder. At observation time it was still snowing, winds out of north, temp abt 9F. Sizeable drifts are everywhere, some up to maybe a foot or more in depth.
