Due to some drifting of snow yesterday, very difficult to estimate new snow that fell. Snow that fell into gauge measured .14”. While new snow collected on snowboard melted to .38”. The average new snow on board was 1.4” but impossible to tell the accuracy due to blowing snow. It appears the total snow event that started on Saturday, ending around noon averaged about 8.7”. Given the prior day snow at observation was 7.3”, going to estimate new snow at 1.4”.

At observation light snow. Yesterday two waves of snow. Wave 1 event started morning lasted until 2pm and produced 1”. Wave 2 heavier event started yesterday evening through current observation produced 6.3” making total 7.3”. Snow the fell into gauge melted to .93”. It was windy and believe some of the snow collected was from blowing off roof. I took several measurements from snowboard and averaged 7.3”. I took core sample from snowboard and melted to .82” which was a more accurate daily precipitation measurement.

Yesterday snow flurries. A snow burst passed through around 11: 30pm lasted for about 15 minutes. After it ended measured .3” on snowboard. Unfortunately, poor snow catch in gauge due to wind. Only melted .01” in gauge. Unable to get SWE off snowboard. At observation most of the snow has melted once the sun came at yesterday afternoon.
