Snow may have blown into my gauge and onto my snowboard. Gauge and SWE are the same number, but are separate measurements. The snow pack depth is highly variable because it was 50 degrees yesterday and surfaces have retained warmth (plus the snow is blowing everywhere). I’ve used the depth on my snowboard for the snowpack depth, although it is one of the higher values that I measured, because the melting prevents me from getting a representative average. |
