Teensy wisp of snow/slush right before it froze, didn't last a minute or so. happened around 5 pm ish, if you were not standing there when the puff blew through you'd have missed it.

Well, this is a first for the 13 years i've been doing this. my rain gauge is frozen absolutely solid. Not sure that is accurate since ice expands as it freezes. Will post to get number up for you but edit later as it thaws and I can get a correct meniscus for reading.
If it was raining out / sleeting / whatever id not be able to get an accurate daily measure if it was over n inch of rainfall the last period. This is a good excuse for folks to have a second gauge so they can swap and let it thaw, yet not risk losing rain measurements if precip is still falling. / Aaron
