I believe the gauge was in a “snow shadow”, because the accumulated snow inbthe gauge was less than 8” - hence the low gauge catch. Because of wind, sculpting and drifting hard to be sure of either the 24 hour snowfall or the snowpack depth. Snowpacked depth ranges up to. 17.5 inches.
