Wildfires, 3 in the last 10 days, are happening in February! I cringe to think what all this means for fire this summer!one huge gust of wind yesterday blew down a new trellis I set up last summer. It’s a dust owl, as farmers keep unwittingly plowing their fields bare, despite research that shows its unnecessary and bad for soil health. The loose soils are just headed for Kansas! |

| 2026-02-11 | 9:30 AM | T | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | | Yesterday morning as I left for Denver at about 9:00am, it began to flurry as a little squall came off the foothills. It couldn’t have amounted to anything because there was no sign of snow on the ground when I got home after dark. Not sure what happened overnight or early this morning, but the deck was too wet this morning for it to have been dew, and I don’t think it was from the previous day’s little squall because it would have been evident yesterday evening. It must have flurried again or briefly showered in the night or early morning today. I overslept this morning and by the time I got up, if there was any ice or snow, it was long melted. I put down the 9:00-9:20 times for the flurry I know happened yesterday morning, but the channel 9 weather news at10:15pm yesterday evening said it was flurrying in Fort Collins, but when I looked outside, I saw no precip falling and the deck was dry. So maybe there was another tiny shower or flurry last evening or early this morning before I got up. I see no other Fort Collins reports with a trace report indicating precip at times other than yesterday morning about the time Ilnew it flurried here. So, maybe, if it flurried or rained again, it happened after 7:00 or 8:00am this morning after reports were in? |

Just about any other patch of snow melted off yesterday, and today’s predicted high of nearly 60º will probably finish off the last ones. |

| 2026-01-28 | 8:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | 1.0 | NA | | I’m so sorry that I’ve not had time this week to measure snowpack, but I will say not much is left. And most of it, as always, is either in shady spots or, because the recent storm had some wind with it, in the Lee of shrubs, trees, etc.So, depth ranges from mostly zero to maybe 1-2 inches in a few places, so I estimate an average of 1” because some spots already look bare. This is not an actual measurement. |
| 2026-01-27 | 8:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | 1.5 | NA | | This is a crazy week, so I’ve not had time to measure snowpack or SWE.Not a lot has melted but I’d say it’s down to 1.5”. |

| 2026-01-25 | 8:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | 1.2 | 0.07 | | Too cold for any melting. Still a light coating of snow on most of the ground. |
| 2026-01-24 | 8:00 AM | 0.06 | 1.3 | 0.07 | 1.3 | 0.07 | | It continued(from yesterday) to snow all day,but with hardly any accumulation, as the snow was superfine and barely sifting down. It did pick up a bit just before dark around 4:30pm. I don’t know when it stopped snowing, but I’m guessing it was mid evening. This is a real guess, not based on any actual information other than assuming by snow depth and the rate of accumulation at dark that it could not have snowed much longer than another 1-5 hours. |
| 2026-01-23 | 8:00 AM | 0.01 | 0.1 | 0.01 | 0.1 | 0.01 | | It was snowing very very lightly when I got up at 7:30. Not sure when it started, probably around 6-6:30 am given the rate at which it’s sifting down, but radar showed no snow occurring even as it was coming down, so apparently it was too light to register on radar, but a skim of snow had accumulated on grass, stone, driveway rock/pad, sidewalk, deck, etc. There were still traces of snow from the last minor snow event in shadowy areas as well before the snow started. Again, it covered probably less than 1% of our 12 acres—only on the front and back lawns where aun doesn’t shine and in various spots of our shelterbelt. Light snow was falling at measurement time, so there is no end time on this record, and snow is projected to come on and off for the next few days. Very very cold (5º) and not expected to warm up much all week, with projected highs ranging from 12-45, and lows 2-18, so if we get a true accumulation, it may stick around for a while. |
| 2026-01-22 | 8:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | T | NA | | There is still some snow on our back lawn and a tad on the front where the sun doesn’t shine, and there are a few patches in our shelterbelt. Of pir 12 acres, I’m sure the area covered is <1%. |
| 2026-01-21 | 8:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | NA | NA | | There are still skims of snow in Shady spots, but I, guessing it’s less than 1% of our 12 acres. |
| 2026-01-20 | 8:00 AM | 0.00 | 0.0 | NA | NA | NA | | Was unable to measure “snowpack” today, but it did not precipitate agin on the last 24 hours. Almost no snow was lef where sun hit it yesterday, and in the shade there was some still left, probably <1”. If there is any snow remaining on the snowboard tomorrow morning, I will measure it then. |
| 2026-01-19 | 8:00 AM | 0.09 | 2.0 | 0.11 | 2.0 | 0.11 | | It began snowing lightly just before 10:0m last night. Not sure when it stopped, but local weather indicated it would stop at3:00am. I suspect it was earlier than that based on how much had already fallen (probably about 1”)by 11:3m. |

The storm was a real bust here in northern Front Range Colorado! |
| 2026-01-09 | 8:00 AM | 0.06 | 0.6 | 0.03 | T | T | | It began snowing very lightly at about 8:00am but wasn’t significant until about 10am. It didn’t snow much for long, and by 1:30 had pretty much ended. Snow was melting as it landed, as the tempt was at or above 32. A little accumulated on the grass and shrubs. By morning, all was gone except in shady areas of grass and on our deck. |
